CLIENT: Selena Rosanbalm
SOCIAL MEDIA: Instagram, Facebook
MY ROLE: Visual Designer
PARTNERS: Selena Rosanbalm
DATE: May 2020
CHALLENGE: I was asked to create new branding for Selena Rosanbalm, a singer/songwriter out of Austin, TX. She needed a new logo and wanted in particular an illustration of herself. She also needed new business cards and I added the usual social media assets to the set as well. We started by creating a Pinterest board so that we could both pin ideas of things we’d like to influence her new branding. We then talked through some things and some colors that she might want to see. I studied her Instagram, Facebook page and new website to get more of a feel for her style as well.
SOLUTION: I designed everything from the ground up including a Brand Book with colors, fonts, a logo, Instagram story cover photos, cover photos for Facebook, Twitter & LinkedIn, photos sized for Instagram and Facebook posts and business cards. I always test things on my own test accounts before handing over final files. We went through 3 rounds of feedback before finalizing everything.

I basically asked her to tell me all about what she does and how she was planning on growing her business. We also talked a lot about what colors she wanted to see and I started a Pinterest board so that we could both pin ideas of things we’d like to influence her new branding.

CLIENT: Period Austin
SOCIAL MEDIA: Instagram
MY ROLE: Visual Designer
PARTNERS: Period Austin Chapter Members
DATE: June 2019
CHALLENGE: I was asked to create shirts for an event that Period Austin was putting on in Austin called Sunday Bloody Sunday. This is a non-profit that helps raise awareness and money to buy feminine hygiene products for underprivileged homeless women as well as for girls & women in schools including elementary schools up through college level. Sunday Bloody Sunday was an event on Rainy Street in Austin where several bars and vendors participated to help raise awareness.
SOLUTION: I researched a lot about what other similar non-profits are doing for events like this and built my designs based on that. I also asked the Period Austin chapter members what they were hoping and expecting to see.
